For an incisional eyelid surgery, does it have to be plastic? Can doctors change eyelids to regular shape and size?

Thank you for the question. Clinics should be answering you shortly. If by “plastic” you mean does it have to be an unnatural looking result, we can only answer from our experience of assisting patients, and the answer is no. Surgeons will first listen to your goals, weather you want a natural or dramatic result. And they will then see if it’s possible or advisable, or they might suggest an alternative goal or result to aim for. 

If you mean plastic as in, if incisional eyelid surgery involves an invasive surgical techniques such as cutting the skin, etc… the answer is yes.

If you mean plastic as in if it involves any plastic or silicone like material or implants, for eye lid surgery, the answer is no. Incisional eyelid surgery involves the surgeon working with your own skin and soft tissue, and not inserting any foreign objects, unless it’s a severe reconstructive surgery case.
