It’s big and comes a bit forward, and effects my self-confidence. I look different than my sisters who are appear more beautiful than me, and makes me feel like the ugly duckling in this family. I feel very very ugly with this kind of mouth. What can I do?

After observing your photos, here are our two opinions/options for you to consider.

It appears that lip reduction along with protruding chin correction will improve your facial balance.

1. Lip reduction : This surgery will help your lips look more slim and natural and the size of the lips will become balanced to your face. There is no need for overnight hospitalization and you will be able to eat right away after the surgery. The bruises will subside in 7-10days and normal sensation of the lips will return after 4-5 months.

2. Correcting the Protruding Mouth: This surgery can be carried out through a variety of facial contouring techniques, such as two-jaw surgery, etc.. The exact method will depend upon your CT scans, the surgeon’s discretion and your choice of available options. Correcting the position and proportion of your lower facial third will have a better impact overall than just having the lip reduction. This procedure will make the nose and the forehead relatively proportionate. After the surgery, you will need an overnight hospitalization for 1 to 3 nights, depending upon your condition and have to go to the clinic for follow up appointments for up to 3-4 weeks. And the stitches will be removed on the 14th day.

Again these are our initial opinions for educational purposes, but we recommend a face to face diagnosis and CT scans for a more accurate assessment.
