Facial Contouring
V-line mandibular reduction involves chin reshaping combined with the general mandible reduction, for creating a slim “V” shape face. This new technique improves the facial appearance by making the whole contour more slender, which was difficult to achieve from the traditional mandible reduction surgery.
V-line mandibular contouring used by ITEM Plastic Surgery is largely divided into V-line mandibular contouring using T-osteotomy and rotary mandibular full contouring using long curved mandibular contouring.
If the cheekbone is excessively protruded frontally and laterally in comparison the facial type, then the face appears to be bigger than it actually is and gives wild impression. Recently, with facial impression playing important role in social life, zygoma reduction is performed frequently in order to make the face slimmer and gentler. To correct the appearance of the overly prominent cheekbones, this procedure reduces the size of zygoma arch in 3-dimensions for a facial harmony on the protruded area whether it’s front, 45-degree angle or side.
Back of Head Surgery / Skull Reshaping Surgery
ITEM Plastic Surgery offers a highly specialized procedure for those who are concerned or self-concious about a flat or sunken shape at the back of their head.
With this procedure, it is possible to change skulls contour and to smooth it out and correct asymmetric shapes. ITEM Plastic Surgery performs head or skull reshaping surgery using Osteobond, which is surgical bone cement that is as strong as bone and retains its position and shape permanently.
The benefits of this procedure is that it doesn’t require a cast or implant to be molded and made. Also, this procedure doesn’t require the removal of hair.
Rhinoplasty / Nose Surgery
Rhinoplasty or nose surgery is a very common cosmetic procedure in Korea. ITEM Plastic Surgery doctors are experienced in treating both Caucasian and Asian noses that come in a wide variety of shapes, conditions and sizes. Usually, Asian patients request to raise the bridge of their nose as well as to augment or enhance the tip of the nose to achieve a well balanced look.
Our approach to rhinoplasty is to take into account the whole shape of the face, and by analyzing the configuration of the forehead, nose bridge height, size and configuration of the nose tip, characteristics and thickness of skin, quantity of subcutaneous tissues, size and strength of cartilage and nasolabial angle. All these factors in addition to other considerations help our surgeons determine the right surgical method to achieve your goal.
For Men – Although the surgical method itself is similar for females, there are numerous differences in creating the overall shape. Nasal cosmetic surgery for males, fundamentally tries to achieve a more powerful looking and sophisticated appearance. The most common type treatment for male noses at our clinic includes deviated and hump noses, as well as correction of upturned noses or a flat bridged nose.
Fat Transplant / Fat Graft
The effects of aging includes not only wrinkles and sagging, but also revealing of the skull due to reduction of soft tissues in the face. This loss in volume can give a strong impression that looks aged and depressed. A well-performed fat transplant or fat graft can help patients who want a more youthful appearance, and female patients who want to retain a gentle facial impression. Moreover, it is highly effective for deep wrinkles as well as aiding in regeneration of skin.
Fat grafts deliver amazing results and its risks and complications are comparatively low, unless performed by an unqualified doctor. With a high rate of graft survival, it rejuvenates the face semi-permanently for a more balanced, youthful, feminine appearance without looking unnatural.
Common areas to provide additional volume via fat grafts include forehead, temple, anterior cheekbone, cheek and tip of the chin as well as the nasal bridge, above the eyes and lips.
V-Loc Thread Lifting
V-Loc Lifting is an innovative facial rejuvenation procedure designed to gently elevate sagging brows, cheeks and jowls. Due to the unique design of V-Loc thread filaments used in the procedure, the surrounding tissues act to hold them in place without the need for visible scars. The surgery can synthesize collagen tissue to make the skin more resilient as time goes by. It is an effective treatment for those experiencing wrinkles, sagging and a loss of youthful tension and elasticity in the face. The treatment has received the approval of the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) as well as the United States FDA.
