Hey there,
I am planning to get a double jaw surgery to fix my underbite issue and was wondering if any one has any recommendations of clinics that specialises in Orthognathic surgery. I am also wondering if it is required to have braces for a year and a half (or months required) before I go in for the surgery. I’m currently looking into The face dental and Banobagi.

Hi @awky
The Face Dental is an experienced clinic for this kind of dental surgery, EverM is one as well. Typically, they will recommend beginning sometime of orthodontics in your home country, there are some clinics, who also offer an option to combine orthodontics and surgery here in Korea.
Gyalumhan Plastic Surgery is a clinic with a specialty in Bimaxillary Orthognathic facial surgery.
Have you began reaching out to clinics?

Hello,
i find it slightly more difficult to contact them as their website is in Korean and I can’t really go around it. To research how the processes are pre and post op. I also have seen id hospital who mentions that it is possible to get orthodontics done after the op post one month. I also have been trying to contact banobagi. Will be trying to call them to book in a date for a face to face consultation but I’m afraid once I arrived I would be told that the op is not possible because I don’t have orthodontics done pre op.

If you need some help we can assist you. We have direct lines of contact with the hospitals, and April Lee is our in-house nurse and care coordinator. She will help manage your case (https://myseoulsecret.com/patient-intake-form/). On the form, if you add any photos or x-rays it can help the hospitals provide a pre-diagnosis.
There’s no difference in cost by having April help you or by doing it yourself, except it April can make it easier get the info you need.
This is a virtual concierge beta service we’re building for our startup, so we would appreciate your patience and feedback when using it.
