Here are some options to get to and from the airport.
Airport Limousine Bus
Cost = 14,000 Korean Won ~ $12USD
Your best best is to take an airport limousine bus.
Don’t let the word “limousine” intimidate you. It’s just a nice bus with plenty of room, nice reclining airplane-like seats and it’s very affordable and convenient. You can buy a ticket for the bus inside the airport towards the exit doors or right outside the airport exit by the street their will be another ticket booth. These buses have many different routes, so be sure to tell the ticket counter where you are going, and they will tell you which bus to get on. The driver will load and unload your luggage at your stop.
They go to all major intersections in Seoul or nearby hotels.
TIPS:
• Be sure to tell the driver when you are boarding, which stop you’re going to get off at.
• Start paying attention when you hit Seoul city (the bus gets off the freeway/highway/motorway)
• Bus stops will be announced by speaker in Korean and English, when you hear your stop coming, press the red button located on the window sills.•It will announce the upcoming and stop after. Press the button when you are the upcoming stop.
• Sit near the driver if you can, so he’s mindful of you.
• Don’t throw away your luggage tags the driver gives you, this is so he can match your luggage when he’s unloading it.TAXI
Normal Taxis will be either grey, orange or white.
Cost = The typical fare to Seoul will range from 55,000 to 70,000 KRW ~ $45USD to $65USD.TIPS:
• You can pay by credit card
• If you have problems communicating with a driver say “Free Interpreter” he will call a translation service
• If you know the address of tour hotel and have it printed show and read it out loud to the driver say “GPS Navi” and point at his dashboard navigation. Then read out the the address•Say the name of the hotel, then the “gu” then the “dong” then the address number – Example “Gangnam-gu, Yeoksam-dong, 543-3”Caution: Black Cabs are More Expensive
If you ever take a black colored taxi, it’s considered a premium taxi and the fare will be higher.
