Revision jaw surgery

I am just devastated after my double jaw surgery and genioplasty I had 10 months ago.  I know there is something that’s just not right. My jaw was over-impacted and brought forward too much. I look so different compared to before and not in a better way.

Are revisions done in cases like this? Is it possible to put the upper jaw back to how it was and also reduce the chin to how it was? 🙁

I really don’t know what to do at the moment. Please please if someone can help it would be much appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been stressed out about this. It might be hard for providers to comment without being able to see photos and examine you. It is possible to under go revision jaw surgery, but this depends upon the circumstances and is case by case. 10 months is still fairly recent, and I’m not sure if you are undergoing orthodontic treatment.

If you have concerns it’s best to talk to your original surgeon about your thoughts and concerns and see what they advise, and it doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion.
